Stardate 04.3008

I decided to change my blog title to "My Daily Trek" it is fitting since I am a die-hard Trekker, eh? I wonder if I can also change the .com part of it too?

I Read this garbage in our local newspaper and I was fuming...but then what else is new, right? *giggle*

Former U.S. surgeon General Joycelyn Elders, who is now a professor at the University in Arkansas and is an advisor to Trojan on sexual health issues has gone too far. If you recall she was the one that approved the dispensing of condoms at public school health clinics.

And...she is also known her for outspoken liberal views on sexual education. Here is what she is up to now.

She feels that Arkansas schools need to do more to educate our children from grades seventh and up about "safe sex" and is suggesting that "masturbation" should be taught as a way to prevent sexually transmitted diseases. She also said that "abstinence-only education is wonderful for kindergarten through sixth grade." But the older kids need to be educated more. *rolls eyes*

She was or is on tour with Trojan trying to promote safe sex. They made a stop at UALR promoting her propaganda. And get this... Trojan employees gave free condoms to UALR students who agreed to sign pledges to use condoms every time they have sex!! If they choose to be sexually active! So, basically letting the kids know it's okay to have sex! I hate this ridiculous rhetoric.

AND the students were encouraged to play games to win condoms, including a race to place condoms on bananas!! How sick is that?

I most certainly will find out of this garbage is being taught to my babies. Good grief! They are only six and eight and I am being forced to teach them about "safe sex" so I can beat the schools to the punch! I want them to know about this topic, yes, but not now!! They are way too young to even comprehend what sex is all about!

The schools are trying to wipe out the innocence and purity of our children and I will not stand for it.

Various thoughts....

I could have strangled Luner and Wolfie's little friend on Saturday morning. He woke us all up at 6:45 AM!!! *&@#! And so there went my only day to sleep in. Kids, what are we to do with them?! lol!

I don't about you all, but the gas prices and rise of cost of food is really beginning to hurt. I even heard that Sam's is limiting people from buying too many bags of rice, etc. I never thought that I would see the day that we may actually be entering a depression. It costs us $53 to fill our gas tank when the price was at $3.35 and now it is up to $3.44! God help those who only have one income coming in. I am so glad my job is only a couple of miles away, but my church, that is another matter altogether. I refuse to give that up, and I won't, although my DH has informed me that I will not be able to attend the Sunday night service. *sigh*

MOVING ON..

I want to change the name of my blog and I need some ideas. Here are a few and please feel free to critique and add your own ideas:
  1. Zero Tolerance Zone
  2. My Place not Yours
  3. My Daily Trek
  4. Colorful Insights

Okay, your turn...

This guy is writing a one-way ticket to hell...

'Basic Instinct' Director Paul Verhoeven: Jesus Was Son of Mary and Roman Rapist

In his upcoming biography of Jesus, "Basic Instinct" director Paul Verhoeven will make the shocking claim that Christ probably was the son of Mary and a Roman soldier who raped her during the Jewish uprising in Galilee.
An Amsterdam publishing house said Wednesday it will publish the Dutch filmmaker's biography of Jesus, "Jesus of Nazareth: A Realistic Portrait," in September.
It will be translated into English in 2009, Marianna Sterk of the publishing house J.M. Meulenhoff said. Verhoeven hopes it will be a springboard for him to raise interest in making a film along the same lines, she said.
The 69-year-old director, who also directed "Showgirls" — starring Elizabeth Berkley in one of the most panned films of the '90s — and sci-fi action hits like "Total Recall" and "RoboCop," as well as the sci-fi bust "Starship Troopers
," claims he and co-biographer Rob van Scheers have written the most realistic portrayal of Jesus ever published.
In addition to suggesting that the Virgin Mary may have been a rape victim, the book will also say that Christ was not betrayed by Judas Iscariot, one of the 12 original apostles of Jesus, as the New Testament states.

I can almost guarantee Hollywood will eat this up as gospel. This is truly sad and I hope that this director will find his way to the REAL TRUTH of our Lord and Savior. We need to pray for this lost man and the company who is going to publish this garbage.

GUESS WHAT? FRIDAY QUESTION!

Okay, here is the Friday Question?

Are you tired of the homosexual agenda? J/k...

Seriously, here is the Friday question...

I have read and heard people say that they used to be "born-again Christians" and then turned their back on God and Christianity because it wasn't real. And now are agnostics or atheists.

Do you believe that these people had a real experience with God, the Holy Ghost and Jesus Christ?

There it is...I am really looking forward to your answers. I am, really, I am...*smile*

What is wrong with people?

My boss and I were talking to one of our patients, who happens to be a sheriff, anyhoo, he was telling about a 20-year-old guy decided he and his friend would film this idiot jumping off a bridge onto a moving train so they could air on YouTube!! So, he calls 911 and tells the operator "I'm hurt" *duh* Needless to say, he was seriously injured and as of right now in critical condition. Oh, and they were both sober. Hmm...

Then I heard about a poor cat that was thrown into a stove! So, the owner of the cat and a friend of hers blamed her 2-year-0ld daughter. However, after the Humane society did some investigating the friends two teenage sons were seeing fleeing the house, and just happened to be wasted. Yet, they blame the baby.

Now tell me how can a 2-year-old wrestle a cat, open the oven door, then throw the cat inside? It's just not possible, anyone that knows about cats, knows that they can put up a terrible fight just trying to get them in a tub or sink for a bath, including kittens, and this was an adult cat. Nope, I don't buy it and shame on those women for blaming that baby.

What about the polygamy saga? I cannot believe that Kathleen, one of the mothers, actually had the audacity to compare their plight with the Holocaust, yeah they were being tortured, gassed, starved to death, she looked pretty healthy to me!! She really ticked me off. She was speaking on CNN about two nights ago. And she was well rehearsed in what she was saying. Educated my @#%.

What is this world coming to?

Another day...

Well, I decided to join a Ladies prayer group on Mondays at noon, which works out perfect for me, because I get off a few minutes before noon, hee. These women are truly have an annointing and such gentle spirits, I fell in love with them. I can't wait for next Monday.

I was going to share something today and it has completely slipped my mind, so maybe next time I will remember what it was.

Moving on..

Oh! and then there is this...

Tom McMahon, with a spiritual discernment ministry, warns that an influential self-help guru who frequently appears on Larry King and Oprah is presenting a bogus view of Jesus in his latest book.

Author Deepak Chopra claims in his book, The Third Jesus: The Christ We Cannot Ignore, that Jesus is a state of mind and not the son of God. The Indian medical doctor suggests that Jesus never spoke of the necessity to believe in Him for salvation, but that those words were put into his mouth by followers writing decades after. According to Chopra, this "third Jesus" is a "cosmic Christ" who "taught his followers how to reach God consciousness." He also argues that Christ was a savior, not the Savior of mankind, and was an "enlightened teacher who intended to save the world by showing others the path to God consciousness."

I have just recently heard about this guy and it shouldn't surprise the Christians because our Lord warned us about false prophets and false teachings and that we are to be steadfast.

Yep, I would say we are going to see many more of these guys, they are slowly crawling out from underneath the rocks. Who moved the rock??

Moving on again..

Does anyone know how to work in Facebook? I am at a loss. *duh*

Have you ever?

I was at church last night for our ladies bible study and I had asked a question about unforgiveness. I had asked if you still feel hurt, anger or shame when remembering a person who hurt you, does that mean that you have still not forgiven? Or is just a painful memory with forgiveness?

I got the response that, no, I still had unforgiveness, I should feel peace with the memory no matter how painful it was.

Hmm..it got me thinking, and I began to make a list of all the people who hurt me physically, emotionally etc. And a girl next to me giggled because it was growing. I then spoke up and said, "Boy! I have a lot of praying and forgiving to do." *smile*

Then it got me thinking even more as I drove home. I am not a fasting person I always feel I do it wrong and I end up only fasting a meal or two and feel guilt that I cannot go a full day and then I have never gotten a response good or bad from the fast. Am I making excuses not to do it? Probably, I won't lie.

I know that fasting is a major part of being a believer in Jesus Christ, soo....I bought some Fusion V-8 juice Strawberry/Banana and that is going to be my drink for when I decide or rather pray about when I should begin my half day fast. I don't think I am mature enough to fast a full day.

Talking with my best-friend last night he said he actually fasted for four days!! Yikes! And the Lord delivered him from smoking!

I want to be delivered from wicked vile thoughts and to forgive each and every person that has ever hurt me. I want that garbage cleansed out of me and I think I am ready to do this. I know it is going to hurt and I know I am going to be shedding buckets of tears but this has to happen so I can grow more in the Lord. Am I feeling fear and trepidation? You better believe it! I can actually feel this heavy load in my chest that needs to be released when I am crying out and then in a panic, I shove it right back down and live in denial that it's okay.

I just feel in my heart that I need my Savior more than ever and I want a deeper relationship with Him. He is my all in all and I just want more.

What a weekend!

Well, the boys and I wound up staying at a hotel for a night and it was bad. This hotel is $79 a night, the room was dirty, there was left over coffee in the caraffe that had molded and lots of it..ewwww. Spiderwebs in the corners and to top it off the air-conditioner unit quit working in the middle of the night, the shower curtain was loaded with mold, just nasty!!

They offer a free breakfast in the morning and they have this waffle machine and someone used the wrong stuff to spray it and it had dried-up, caked-on waffle, a huge mess. It took me thirty minutes to clean it off. Then, of course, everyone in the room began to use it after I was done...argh.

I wish we didn't have to pay for that room, but you have to pay in advance, so that was good for them but not for me. I will not go back to that place.

Moving on..

Went and saw SUPERHERO and it was tame compared to the SCARY MOVIES, but still had a lot of sexual content and a lot of profanity, what a waste of money. Oh well, live and learn, right?

Hubby is still working hard at fixing our bathroom and has had some difficulties, but figuring it out as he goes, poor thing.

I am enjoying one of my most favrorite Mexican dishes, Chili Rellenos! Yummy...

Well, I need to get laundry started, go and buy my soy snikkers latte, wash and vacuum the SUV, before the boys get home! Then we will be off to buy my new vanity for the bathroom! I wish I had a digital camera or cell phone that took pictures so you all could see my bathroom, it is looking beautiful.

Ciao!

Stardate 004.002

Update: My house is now coming together, slowly but surely, yippee! My hubby is almost laying down the wooden floors and then will start on the bathroom, which is going to be a complete overhaul, but it is going to nice when he is done!

Moving on...

I don't know if many of you heard but McDonald's is now a huge financial supporter of the gay and lesbian movement, if you want to e-mail go to the AFA website and send a letter to the CEO of the company. This breaks my heart, my children love McDonald's but I will not give my money to those who support this agenda, no way. I will tell them that McDonald's is doing something that is hurting Jesus, and that will help them to understand, if they don't *gulp* then they will know the truth.

I also heard that Planned Parenthood made over 1 billion dollars, and they are celebrating this because it is the largest amount in their history. My gosh! How heartbreaking to and disgusting to celebrate murdering innocent babies! It cannot be! And I also found out that some of our tax dollars support this organization, and that turns my stomach. I cannot abide and let that happen and I signed a petition at Grassfire.

The church needs to wake up!! We cannot let these atrocities continue! We have a right to voice our opinions, it is called 'FREEDOM OF SPEECH" the MSM, libs and Dems keep shoving that down our throats and it is about time we shove back. I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore! Enough is Enough!

Okay, that is off my chest! I told you all had a heinous temper and you got a small glimpse of it, or rather a miniscule glimpse, hee.

Has anyone seen the move "Superhero" and if you have what did you think? I am planning to watch it this Saturday, or maybe wait to see the new Jackie Chan/Jet Li movie, I love both actors so if "Superhero" is like the Scary movies, I will pass and wait until next week to see Chan/Li movie.

Well, I have a lot of sweeping to do, and a bit of dusting. See you all tomorrow!
